Softball Recap: Patterson Mill Wins Going Away Against Joppatowne

While Patterson Mill put up plenty of runs on Wednesday, the same can't be said for Joppatowne. The Huskies were the clear victors by a 16-0 margin over the Mariners. The result was nothing new for the Huskies, who have now won five contests by eight runs or more so far this season.

Kamryn Cichocki and Mia Jelen did most of the damage at the plate: Cichocki got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs and two RBI, while Jelen went 1-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. Cadence Pfistner was another key player, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with two runs.

The win made it two in a row for Patterson Mill and bumps their season record up to 9-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 0 runs in those games. As for Joppatowne, they are on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-9.

Patterson Mill didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 15-0 win against Aberdeen on the 24th. As for Joppatowne, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 26-0 defeat against North Harford on the 24th.
