The St. Augustine Yellow Jackets will challenge the Beachside Barracudas at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
On Saturday, St. Augustine needed a bit of extra time to put away Wakulla. They walked away with a 5-1 victory over the War Eagles. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Yellow Jackets as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

St. Augustine got a great performance from Dalton Greene as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over 5.2 innings pitched. Greene also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because the Yellow Jackets are 3-1 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 3-5 otherwise.
On the hitting side, Brandt Hudgins was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Another player making a difference was Brayden Kirk, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with three stolen bases and one run.
Meanwhile, Beachside owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Monday. They came out on top against Mandarin by a score of 5-0.
Brady Anderson tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run while striking out seven over 5.2 innings pitched. Those seven strikeouts gave him a new career-high.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Jason Gillespie, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Derek Ochoa was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
Beachside's victory bumped their record up to 8-5. As for St. Augustine, the win got them back to even at 6-6.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. St. Augustine has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 9.1 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Beachside struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 8.3 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
St. Augustine came out on top in a nail-biter against Beachside in their previous matchup back in March of 2025, sneaking past 3-1. Do the Yellow Jackets have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Barracudas turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
