The Decatur Eagles waltzed into their game Saturday with two straight wins but they left with three. They came out on top against Hitchcock by a score of 42-32.
Decatur found their leader in underclassman Bralyn Peck, who scored 15 points along with nine rebounds. Peck continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last four games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Renlee Longenbaugh, who scored six points.
Decatur's win bumped their record up to 18-4. As for Hitchcock, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-4.
Decatur and Nocona will face off at 6:15 p.m. on January 2nd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. As for Hitchcock, they will head out on the road to face off against Van Vleck at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
