Ka'u scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They took an 85-77 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Honoka'a Dragons. The Trojans' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it seven in a row.

Ka'u's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Honoka'a, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-4.

Ka'u will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Waiakea at 7:00 p.m. on January 8, 2025. Honoka'a and Kealakehe will round out the year against one another at at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Honoka'a knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matches -- so hopefully Kealakehe likes a good challenge.
