Drew Charter has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge the North Cobb Christian Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Drew Charter knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past six games -- so hopefully the Eagles like a good challenge.
You can't lose the matchup if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Drew Charter's strategy against the Bulldogs on Saturday. Drew Charter blew past the Bulldogs 59-35. The score was close at the half, but Drew Charter pulled away in the second half with 32 points.
Meanwhile, North Cobb Christian put the finishing touches on their seventh blowout victory of the season on Friday. They claimed a resounding 92-60 victory over Washington on the road. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Gabe Bolden continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 9 for 15 from beyond the arc en route to 46 points and 5 assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Wyatt Thomason was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with five rebounds.
Drew Charter's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-11. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.0 points per game. As for North Cobb Christian, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 16-6.
Drew Charter didn't have too much breathing room in their match against the Eagles when the teams last played back in January, but they still walked away with a 73-68 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Drew Charter since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
