Basketball Recap: Thurston Has No Trouble Against Putnam

Thurston won the last time they faced Putnam and things went their way on Friday too. The stars were shining brightly for the Thurston Colts in a 63-47 victory over the Putnam Kingsmen. The game marked the Colts' most dominant win of the season so far.

Thurston pushed their record up to 6-0 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Putnam, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Thurston and Gresham will compete for holiday cheer at 6:45 p.m. on Monday. Thurston is facing Gresham at the right time seeing as Gresham is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Putnam, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Milwaukie/Milwaukie Academy of the Arts at 7:15 p.m. on January 6, 2025.
