Winnebago had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 13-run drubbing they dealt Lutheran on Wednesday. The Indians blew past the Crusaders 14-1. With that victory, the Indians brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.

Sammi Falnes was a standout: she went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Vanessa Warkentien, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple.

Winnebago's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 10-11. As for Lutheran, they are on a 16-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-15.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Winnebago is set to face off against their familiar foe Dixon at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Lutheran will challenge rival Rock Falls at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
