The Luther Cougars will head out on the road to challenge the Morrisville-Eaton Warriors at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
The matchup between Luther and the Falcons on Tuesday hardly resembled the 2-0 effort from their previous meeting. Luther received a tough blow as they fell 90-73 to the Falcons. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Wednesday (55), Luther still had to take the loss.
Despite the loss, Luther got a solid performance out of Tristan Elcock, who scored 22 points along with seven assists and five rebounds. Elcock hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Everette Mckeller, who scored 14 points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Morrisville-Eaton pushed their score all the way to 62 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 72-62 hit to the loss column at the hands of Fabius Pompey.
Luther are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-10. As for Morrisville-Eaton, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-8.
