The Carrboro Jaguars will stay at home for another game and welcome the J.F. Webb Warriors at 5:00 p.m. on February 6th. Hopefully Carrboro is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Warriors in North Carolina (the Jaguars are ranked 183rd, while the Warriors are ranked 540th).
Last Friday, Carrboro was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 51-46 to the Vipers.
Carrboro's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Summer Lee, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 20 rebounds, and Madison Taylor who scored ten points along with six rebounds. Lee hasn't dropped below nine rebounds for ten straight games.
J.F. Webb was handed a 41-point defeat in their previous outing, but they didn't let that bad energy affect their game against the Vikings on Friday. J.F. Webb skirted past the Vikings 29-27. The victory was just what J.F. Webb needed coming off of a 67-26 loss in their prior contest.
Carrboro's defeat dropped their record down to 11-6. As for J.F. Webb, their victory bumped their record up to 5-13.
Everything came up roses for Carrboro against the Warriors when the teams last played back in January as the team secured a 53-24 victory. Will Carrboro repeat their success, or do the Warriors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
