The Hesston Swathers will take on the Life Prep Fire at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hesston is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.
Concordia hit Hesston with a six-run seventh inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Swathers came up short against the Panthers, falling 12-6.

Hesston saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Levi Flaming, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs. The Swathers are 5-1 when Flaming posts two or more runs, but 5-6 otherwise. Another was Gabe Mowry, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI and one double.
Meanwhile, Life Prep had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Chisholm 9-8.
Life Prep let Ivan Reid (Colon, Panama) and Arthur Rolle (Nassau, Bahamas) run wild. Reid (Colon, Panama) went 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double, while Rolle (Nassau, Bahamas) went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Those two RBI gave Rolle (Nassau, Bahamas) a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Gabriel Chaveles (Mexico City, Mexico), who went 1-for-2 with two runs.
Life Prep's record now sits at 8-11. As for Hesston, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-7.
Life Prep's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Hesston hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .413. It's a different story for Life Prep, though, as they've only averaged .256. Will they be able to contain Hesston's hitters?
Hesston couldn't quite get it done against Life Prep in their previous meeting back in March of 2025 as they fell 7-2. Can the Swathers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
