Trinity suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Friday. They were dealt a 66-37 loss at the hands of Shepherd. Trinity has struggled against Shepherd recently, as their match on Friday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, things could have been worse for New Waverly, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 57-43 loss to Crockett on Friday. While losing is never fun, New Waverly can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1174th, while Crockett is ranked 313th).
Trinity has been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 13-11 record this season. As for New Waverly, their loss dropped their record down to 10-16.
