Immaculate waltzed into their matchup Tuesday with two straight wins but they left with three. They wrapped up 2023 with a 45-28 win over New Fairfield. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Immaculate has managed all season.
It was another big night for Kristina Asmani, who scored 18 points. That's the first time this season that she scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Kendra Foy, who scored nine points.
Meanwhile, New Milford didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Danbury on Tuesday, but they still walked away with a 44-40 victory. The win made it back-to-back wins for New Milford.
Immaculate's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for New Milford, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
Things could have been worse for Immaculate, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 49-32 loss to New Milford when the teams last played back in February. Can Immaculate avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
