Volleyball Recap: Tompkins Has No Trouble Against Stratford

Tompkins lost to Stratford back in November of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Falcons put the hurt on the Spartans with a sharp 3-0 win.

While Tompkins won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-22, 25-16.

Elsa St. Rose paced Tompkins' offense, picking up 17 kills. St. Rose got some help from Ava Shepard and her 15 assists. Lainey Monroe controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Tompkins' victory bumped their record up to 12-3. As for Stratford, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season.

Tompkins will head out to face off against Bridgeland at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Stratford, they will take on Lake Creek in a tournament on Saturday.
