Northview was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Monday as the team picked up their third straight  loss. They took  a  60-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Laurel Hill Hoboes. The Chiefs lost against the Hoboes in their previous head to head  back in January, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the  89-56 score last time.

 Despite the  defeat, Northview saw an underclassman step up: sophomore  Kayden Samelson  dropped  a double-double on 24 points and 15  rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most  points  SamelSon has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of  Bryson Orso, who  posted nine points.
Northview's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Laurel Hill, they moved to 1-5 with that  win, which also ended their 11-game losing streak.
 Northview won't have much time to rest: their next  match is against Jay  at 7:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for Laurel Hill, they and Paxton will face off  at 7:00  p.m.  on Tuesday without much rest having both just played. Paxton is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53  points per game  this season.
