Warsaw is 1-9 against Mishawaka since March of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Tigers will host the Cavemen at 5:30 p.m. Warsaw is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.9 runs per game this season.
Warsaw made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Concord, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Tigers fell just short of the Minutemen by a score of 7-5 on Monday. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Adelynn Williams was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Ayla Hatfield, who went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Northridge hit Mishawaka with a five-run seventh inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Cavemen fell just short of the Raiders by a score of 5-4.
Camila Rameriz spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned runs on eight hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than nine strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Khloe Hershey made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two doubles and one run. Karmen Frazier was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Warsaw's defeat dropped their record down to 8-14. As for Mishawaka, their loss dropped their record down to 17-7.
Wednesday's match will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Warsaw hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .314. However, it's not like Mishawaka struggles in that department as they've averaged .365. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
