The Brentwood Bruins waltzed into Friday's contest with two straight wins but they left with three. They put the hurt on The Webb School with a sharp 64-44 victory. Fans of Brentwood have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season ended as a blowout.
Leading Brentwood to victory were Paige Morris and Ella Ryan. Morris scored 20 points, while Ryan dropped a double-double on 28 points and 10 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Ryan has scored at least 25% of Brentwood's points. Another player making a difference was Olivia Castagna, who scored 7 points along with 6 rebounds.
Brentwood's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for The Webb School, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Brentwood will challenge Lebanon at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for The Webb School, they will head out on the road to face off against Brentwood Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Brentwood Academy is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
