It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Timpview had no problem doing just that on Friday. Everything went their way against Brighton as Timpview made off with a 55-35 win. This was one game where the offenses had no trouble playing at a high level.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Timpview to victory, but perhaps none more so than Helaman Casuga , who threw for 407 yards and three touchdowns. Casuga hasn't dropped below 300 passing yards for six straight games. Braxton Wilkerson was another key contributor, picking up 192 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Another reason for the win was Timpview's imposing defensive line, which managed to get into the backfield for six sacks. Brighton's QB won't forget Matthias Lesa anytime soon given Lesa sacked him four times.
Meanwhile, Olympus faced Box Elder in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Olympus breezed by Box Elder on the road to the tune of 41-14. Winning may never get old, but Olympus sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.
