The South Plantation Paladins came tearing into Friday's match with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18.4 points) and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 67-57 victory over Cardinal Gibbons. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead South Plantation to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kaiden Francis, who scored 13 points along with seven assists and four blocks. That's the first time this season that Francis posted two or more blocks. Another player making a difference was Dwight Stephens, who scored 16 points along with two steals.
South Plantation has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 games, which provided a nice bump to their 22-3 record this season. As for Cardinal Gibbons, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-5.
South Plantation does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Cardinal Gibbons' road trip will continue as they head out to face Centennial at 7:00 p.m. on January 29th. Hopefully Centennial focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 last Wednesday.
