The Rockhurst Hawklets won the last time they faced the Bentonville Tigers, and things went their way on Thursday too. Rockhurst breezed by Bentonville on the road to the tune of 61-34. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 36-15.
Rockhurst's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Andrew Sprague, who scored 10 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kevin Sullivan, who scored 8 points along with 3 steals.
Rockhurst's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Bentonville, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-7.
Rockhurst will be playing in front of their home fans against Blue Springs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Blue Springs will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Missouri Rankings (they are ranked 306th, while Rockhurst is ranked 129th). As for Bentonville, they will head out on the road to face off against Conway at 7:00 p.m. on December 15th.
