The Harvey Hornets managed to keep up with the New Rockford-Sheyenne Rockets until halftime on Tuesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Harvey was the victim of a tough 60-40 loss at the hands of New Rockford-Sheyenne. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Harvey has suffered since December 18, 2023.
Despite the defeat, Harvey saw an underclassman step up: Addisyn Faul scored 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Rylee Jones, who scored four points along with ten rebounds and two steals.
Harvey has not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-10-1 record this season. As for New Rockford-Sheyenne, their win bumped their record up to 3-7.
Harvey will head out on the road to square off against Westhope/Newburg at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday. Westhope/Newburg is out to stop a four-game streak of losses at home. New Rockford-Sheyenne will take on Larimore at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in North Dakota (Larimore is ranked 98th, while New Rockford-Sheyenne is ranked 83rd).
