Cade Laws gave up the fewest earned runs he has since back in April on Friday. He was dynamite, striking out ten batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off six hits. He has become a key player for Bennington: the team is 2-1 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 2-10 otherwise.

Laws' effort led Bennington over Ell-Saline and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled on Friday. The Cardinals are limping into the matchup having lost nine straight at home dating back to last season.
