Montgomery will take on St. Mary at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Montgomery knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 31 points or more in their past six contests -- so hopefully St. Mary likes a good challenge.
On Thursday, Montgomery got the win against Northwood by a conclusive 40-20. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Gators recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Montgomery to victory, but perhaps none more so than Eli Bullock, who picked up 136 receiving yards and two scores, and also rushed for 30 yards. Bullock showed off some serious burst, lighting up the secondary with a catch for 65 yards. Another rusher making a difference was Jeremiah Christian, who gained 170 total yards and a touchdown.

Montgomery didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Kairyn Bonier, Bullock, and Mason Jordan picked up one apiece. Jordan has been hot, having also posted three or more passing touchdowns the last eight times he's played. Bullock got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Fans were treated to a battle of the Tigers on Friday. St. Mary fell 20-14 to Logansport. St. Mary hasn't had much luck with Logansport recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.
Although St. Mary took the loss, they still got scores from Cole Yopp and Dennison Morgan.
While St. Mary came up short, they sure didn't make it easy for Logansport: they limited their QB to completion percentage of just 42.9%. The team can thank Chalin Gandy for the heroic effort on defense: he. St. Mary wasn't nearly as limited: they posted one of 52.6%.
St. Mary's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Montgomery, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Friday's matchup: Montgomery has been excellent in the air this season, having averaged 271.2 passing yards per game. It's a different story for St. Mary, though, as they've been averaging only 91.3 passing yards. How will they fare against such a dominant passing game?
Montgomery didn't have too much breathing room in their game against St. Mary in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, but they still walked away with a 20-14 win. Does Montgomery have another victory up their sleeve, or will St. Mary turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
