Northwest Kansas (8 Man) recap September 10, 2013
Elijah Stone of Greeley County ran for the longest rushing play in Northwest Kansas (8 Man) this season against Hoxie last week. Stone ran for 60 yards on the play and finished with 61 on the day as his team lost to the Indians.
Wallace County took down Dighton 51-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Kyle Gfeller threw for 22 yards and ran for 56 yards during the win.
Trego's dynamic duo of Devon Ghumm and Colton Parker proved to be unstoppable against Osborne, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Ghumm threw for 107 yards and 2 touchdowns and Parker had 59 yards receiving. Isaiah Fabrizius helped Trego's passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 42 yards.
The Golden Eagles' dynamic duo of Ghumm and Parker proved tough for the Bulldogs to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.
Tyrell Springsteel made the biggest impact on defense this week as the Wildcats beat the Hornets. He grabbed 2.0 sacks.
Ghumm put up the best numbers in passing as Trego fell to Osborne.
Connor Katt was the most successful running back in the league this week. He ran for 164 yards on 16 carries as Hoxie lost to Steve Tiernan's team. Teammate Austin Rietcheck added to the ground attack by rushing for 45 yards.
Parker was the best receiver in the league this week as the Golden Eagles fell to the Bulldogs.
Leading Northwest Kansas (8 Man) in both passing and receiving yards, Trego's Ghumm and Parker have proven to be a lethal combination. 6-2 quarterback Ghumm has thrown for 107 yards this season, while Parker has 5 catches for 59 yards. Katt from Lance Baar's team leads the league in rushing with 164 yards.
The Indians are currently in fourth, while Wallace County is in first.
There should be lots of points scored when Hoxie and Kevin Ayers' team face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, the Indians comes in having scored 54 this season, while the Wildcats have scored 51. Hoxie scored 54 points last week as it defeated Greeley County.
