The McDowell Titans will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against the Enka Jets at 6:30 p.m. on February 6th. Enka took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on McDowell, who comes in off a win.
Last Friday, McDowell strolled past the Black Hawks with points to spare, taking the game 54-40.
McDowell's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sage Young, who scored 11 points. Kensly Stewart was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Meanwhile, Enka's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They fell to T.C. Roberson 39-33.
McDowell pushed their record up to 16-3 with that victory, which was their seventh straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.1 points per game. As for Enka, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season.
Everything came up roses for McDowell against the Jets when the teams last played back in January as the squad secured a 60-25 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for McDowell since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
