Manor New Tech hasn't had much luck against Lago Vista recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. Manor New Tech will head out on the road to take on Lago Vista at 6:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Manor New Tech comes in on four and Lago Vista on 12.
Last Friday, Manor New Tech got the win against Travis by a conclusive 18-1. Considering Manor New Tech has won nine matchups by more than 14 runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Muneera Shaheryar made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out six batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Shaheryar was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. She also put up a double, which was her first of the season.

In other batting news, Lynette Munoz was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with two triples, five RBI, and two runs. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Alexis Martinez-Zambrano was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
Manor New Tech hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least four batters in four consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Lago Vista's rock-solid pitcher showed up for the team's fourth consecutive shutout on Monday. They never let Travis get on the board and left with a 21-0 win. Considering the Vikings have won 13 games by more than seven runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Winter Callahan was a major factor no matter where she played. She struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in 12 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.
In other batting news, Lago Vista got a massive performance out of Sydney Mosser, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four stolen bases, and five RBI. Another player making a difference was Ellie Helton, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with five RBI, three runs, and one triple.
Lago Vista pushed their record up to 14-9 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 19.4 runs over those games. As for Manor New Tech, their record now sits at 10-4-1.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Thursday. Manor New Tech hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 1 home runs per game. However, it's not like Lago Vista struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.7 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Manor New Tech suffered a grim 12-1 defeat to Lago Vista when the teams last played back in March. Can Manor New Tech avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
