Loyola College Prep will challenge West Ouachita on the road at 7:00 PM on Friday. If you head out to watch the game, expect to stay the whole 48 minutes : the MaxPreps state rankings predict a close match.
Loyola College Prep took care of business in their home opener. They took their contest against Cedar Creek last week by a conclusive 42-14 score. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Loyola College Prep had established a 35-8 advantage.
Meanwhile, West Ouachita had to kick off their season with an away game, and unfortunately wound up with a long bus ride home. They fell to Sterlington 21-35. The match was a 7-7 toss-up at halftime, but West Ouachita was outplayed the rest of the way.
Loyola College Prep's win lifted them to 1-0 while West Ouachita's defeat dropped them down to 0-1. We'll see if Loyola College Prep's success rolls on or if West Ouachita are able to steal their positive momentum.
