The Lucerne Valley Mustangs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They were the victim of a tough 47-24 loss at the hands of Baker. Lucerne Valley was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Baker apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January.
Despite the loss, Lucerne Valley saw an underclassman step up: Christian Barajas dropped a double-double on 10 points and 28 rebounds. Barajas is absolutely dominating the rebound category: he's posted at least eight every time he's taken the court this season.
Lucerne Valley's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Baker, their victory bumped their record up to 1-2.
Lucerne Valley will be playing at home against Summit Leadership Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Baker will be staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against Sandy Valley at 6:30 p.m. on December 6th.
