They came out on top in a nail-biter against North Garland and snuck past 43-40. The win was just what South Garland needed coming off of a 75-23 defeat in their prior match.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead South Garland to victory, but perhaps none more so than Heaven Wannamaker, who scored 13 points along with 4 steals. Alliah Bell was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with 7 steals.
South Garland has yet to lose a match at home this season, leaving them with a 5-6 record. As for North Garland, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.
South Garland will head out on the road to face off against Lakeview Centennial at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lakeview Centennial presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than South Garland in Texas (Lakeview Centennial is ranked 378th, while South Garland is ranked 870th). As for North Garland, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Wylie at 5:30 p.m. Wylie is coming into the contest hot, having won their last five games.
