The Leyton Warriors's four-game losing streak came to an end on Thursday. They really took it to Bayard for the full four quarters, racking up a 50-23 victory at home. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Leyton has managed all season.
Leyton's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kaleb Miller, who scored ten points along with six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jonathan Kruse, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 14 rebounds.
Leyton's win bumped their record up to 4-7. As for Bayard, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 3-10.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Leyton won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Potter-Dix on January 12th. Hopefully Potter-Dix focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 last Tuesday. As for Bayard, they will head out on the road to face off against South Platte at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
