Last Thursday, Homer lost to Skaneateles on the road by a decisive 59-44 margin. While losing is never fun, Homer can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 500th, while Skaneateles is ranked 179th).
Meanwhile, Institute of Tech pushed their score all the way to 76 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 83-76 hit to the loss column at the hands of Chittenango. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game last Saturday (57), Institute of Tech still had to take the loss.
Homer's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Institute of Tech, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-3 record this season.
