The Moore Haven Terriers will square off against the Immokalee Indians at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
If Moore Haven beats Immokalee with 18 runs on Thursday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two games with that exact score. The Terriers blew past Glades Day 18-1 on Wednesday. The Terriers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by six runs or more this season.

Preslynn Baker was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit (and not a single walk). She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple.
In other batting news, Brooklyn Sergent and Khloe Desroche did most of the damage at the plate: Sergent scored three runs while going 3-for-3, while Desroche scored a run and stole three bases while going 2-for-2. That's the most stolen bases Desroche has posted since back in March. Neska Blissett was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.
Moore Haven was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .700. They are a perfect 7-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Immokalee won against Cypress Lake on Saturday with 15 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. The Indians' pitchers stepped up to hand Clewiston a 15-0 shutout. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Indians.
Like Moore Haven, Immokalee also got a great game from a two-way player: Jaylynn Rodriguez. On the mound, she pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Rodriguez was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-3.
In other batting news, Immokalee let Leyah Rodriguez and Remey Rodriguez run wild. Leyah scored two runs while going 2-for-2, while Remey scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of Madison Silguero, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-2.
Moore Haven is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.5 runs on average over those games. As for Immokalee, their victory bumped their record up to 9-14.
Thursday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Moore Haven has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .473. However, it's not like Immokalee struggles in that department as they've averaged .459. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Moore Haven beat Immokalee 9-5 when the teams last played back in March. Do the Terriers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Indians turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
