Atlee waltzed into their match on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They put the hurt on the Highland Springs Springers with a sharp 19-4 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Raiders also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.
Sierra Kegley was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Atlee got a massive performance out of Izzie Turnauer, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. Turnauer is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last six games she's played. Camdyn Metts was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple.
Atlee kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 18 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in four consecutive contests.
Atlee pushed their record up to 6-4 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.7 runs over those games. As for Highland Springs, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-5 record this season.
