The biggest upset of the week belonged to Pierce, who took down 674th ranked Durham, 14-7. Adolfo Ramirez ran for 109 yards during the win.
The Bears scaled the state rankings by moving to 690 from 745 this week, the biggest jump in Sacramento Valley. Pierce was able to move up by beating the Trojans 14-7.
Durham's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Josh Heath threw for 94 and 1 touchdown and Zach Marks had 67 yards receiving. On the ground Ryley Haugh contributed 174 yards. Tyler Hughes helped Durham's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 13 yards.
Haugh was a passing and rushing force as Dan Henry's team lost to Scott Burnum's team. Haugh's favorite target this week was Marks, who caught 5 passes for 67 yards.
Haugh was the most successful running back in the league this week. He ran for 174 yards on 19 carries as the Trojans fell to the Bears. Teammate Jake Wiley added to the ground attack by rushing for 34 yards.
Durham's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Trojans feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Heath has thrown for 1,110 yards and 11 touchdowns this season, while Marks has 20 catches for 502 yards.
Two of the top units in the league will face off this week when Trinity takes on Pierce. The Wolves' offense has racked up 214 points this season, earning them the top spot in the league, while the Bears have allowed only 65 on the year.
An important game coming up in Sacramento Valley this week will be when Durham takes on Willows. At the moment, the Trojans are in fourth, while the Honkers are in first.
There should be lots of points scored when Trinity and Pierce face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, Jeremy Wardrip's team comes in having scored 214 this season, while the Bears have scored 182. The Wolves scored 56 points last week as they beat Live Oak.
