Highline has enjoyed a four-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will face off against the Enumclaw Hornets at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Highline had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They really took it to WF West for the full four quarters, racking up a 34-6 victory at home.
Meanwhile, Enumclaw put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They breezed by Othello at home to the tune of 49-12. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Enumclaw had established a 30 point advantage.
Enumclaw got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Gunnar Trachte out in front who threw for 180 yards and four touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes. Trachte is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in the last three games he's played. Wyatt Neu was another key contributor, rushing for 101 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries.
Highline pushed their record up to 10-1 with that victory, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 0-9 Evergreen and 1-9 Foster (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 40.5% over those games). As for Enumclaw, their win bumped their record up to 11-0.
