While Meek's victory against Vina wasn't quite the blowout they won the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Meek Tigers came out on top in a nail-biter against the Vina Red Devils on Saturday, sneaking past 6-4. The win was some much needed relief for the Tigers as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Sadi Farley made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out seven batters over four innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits (and not a single walk). Farley was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.

In other batting news, Anna Collins was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-2. Molli Sandlin was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-3.

Meek was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .474. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Vina only posted a batting average of .235.

The victory was their first at home , bumping their record up to 2-4. As for Vina, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Meek will head out to face off against Lynn at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lynn will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each match than the last. As for Vina, they will head out on the road to square off against Hubbertville at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
