Johnston came into Saturday's matchup having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Ames Little Cyclones on Saturday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Dragons also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2021.

Their offense was headlined by Cora Shaw and Lila Shaw, who picked up six kills apiece. They got some help from Allison Ricke and her 26 assists.

Johnston's win bumped their record up to 10-14. As for Ames, they moved to 12-6 with that defeat, which also ended their three-match winning streak.

Johnston has already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Western Christian on the 4th. As for Ames, they will welcome Fort Dodge at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
