Given Spencerville Adventist Academy's advantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 243rd in Maryland, while the Angels are ranked 1466th in Texas), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Among those leading the charge was Christopher Padgett, who scored nine points. The team also got some help courtesy of Nathan Thomas, who scored seven points.
Spencerville Adventist Academy's victory bumped their record up to 4-10. As for Burton Adventist Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Spencerville Adventist Academy will take on the Falcons at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Burton Adventist Academy, they will head out on the road to challenge the Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
