The Holy Cross Crusaders had to hit the road for their first game and sadly it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They had to suffer through a rough 70-31 loss at the hands of Buena Vista.
Buena Vista's win on Saturday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Alexander Porras, who scored 18 points. Another player making a difference was Caden Valdez, who scored 14 points.
Holy Cross' loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Buena Vista, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Holy Cross will take on Midland Texas Leadership Charter Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Midland Texas Leadership Charter Academy comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Buena Vista, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Varsity Opponent at 10:15 a.m. on December 2nd.
