Even though Friends' Central have not done well against Westtown recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Friends' Central secured a 73-69 W over Westtown. Given Friends' Central's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 16th, while Westtown is ranked 111th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Friends' Central got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Pat Feamster out in front who scored 19 points. Another player making a difference was Reid Belcher, who scored 18 points.
Friends' Central pushed their record up to 11-2 with that victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.4 points per game. As for Westtown, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season.
Friends' Central will head out on the road to face off against Academy of the New Church at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Westtown, they will be playing at home against Shipley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
