The Principia Panthers will venture away from home to face off against the Lutheran North Crusaders at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.
Principia is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Whitfield just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They came up short against the Warriors, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Panthers have suffered since October 24, 2024.
While Principia was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the third set. The final score came out to 25-16, 25-12, 27-25.
Despite the loss, Principia had strong showings from Sophia Imrie, who had nine digs and two aces, and Saige Rainwater, who had ten digs.
Meanwhile, Lutheran North lost 3-0 to Westminster Christian on Thursday. The Crusaders haven't had much luck with the Wildcats recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.
The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-9, 25-13.
Lutheran North's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Principia, their loss dropped their record down to 4-2-2.
Principia might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from Lutheran North in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Can the Panthers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
