Constitution State recap November 5, 2013
Prince RVT extended the longest winning streak in Constitution State this week by beating East Hampton/Vinal RVT, 25-0. This was the team's eighth consecutive win.
Whitney RVT lost to Bullard-Havens 45-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Travon Holder was a passing and rushing force as Cheney RVT bested Abbott RVT.
Holder was a beast in the backfield as the Beavers defeated the Wolverines.
Nick Coppola put up the best numbers in passing as O'Brien RVT lost to Putnam/Tourtellotte Memorial/Ellis RVT. He finished with 14 completions for 160 yards and 2 touchdowns. Coppola's favorite target this week was Tristin Carder, who caught 6 passes for 53 yards.
6-foot-2 quarterback Rayshawn Phillips of Capital Prep/Classical Magnet/Achievement First is the league leader in passing yards this season with 1,082. He has also thrown 12 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Daniel Guodace. The Wilcox RVT star has 27 catches for 386 yards.
The Tigers' Jose Cotto needs only 17 yards against Wolcott RVT next week to surpass 1,000 rushing yards for the season. Cotto has rushed for 983 yards on 150 carries so far this year.
At the moment, the Trailblazers are in second, while the Condors are in seventh.
