After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Cape Hatteras, Albemarle School was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They put the hurt on the Mattamuskeet Lakers with a sharp 11-3 win. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Colts considering their two-run performance the match before.

The victory got Albemarle School back to even at 2-2. As for Mattamuskeet, they dropped their record down to 1-3 with the defeat, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Albemarle School will face off against Ridgecroft at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. This will be Ridgecroft's first chance to prove their worth in the conference. Mattamuskeet will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Bear Grass Charter at 5:00 p.m. on March 25th.
