If the Milton-Union Bulldogs were riding high off their 63-38 takedown of the Bethel Bees last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Milton-Union took a 45-33 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Polar Bears on Saturday. Milton-Union was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Polar Bears apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January.
Milton-Union's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kate Copp, who scored nine points along with five rebounds. Jenna Brumbaugh was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with seven steals.
Milton-Union's loss dropped their record down to 16-5. As for Northridge, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 15-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Milton-Union will take on the Pirates at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday. Riverside will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 568th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 204th). As for Northridge, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Cavaliers at 7:30 p.m.
