Wauconda has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will face off against the North Chicago Warhawks at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Wauconda knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past six contests -- so hopefully the Warhawks like a good challenge.
Wauconda pushed their score all the way to 69 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell to Yorkville Christian 75-69. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (65), Wauconda still had to take the loss.
Meanwhile, North Chicago suffered a tough 73-52 loss at the hands of the Wolves on Monday. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for North Chicago in their matchups with the Wolves: they've now lost three in a row.
Wauconda's loss dropped their record down to 15-10. As for North Chicago, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost 18 of their last 19 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-25 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Wauconda against the Warhawks in their previous matchup back in January as the team secured a 72-39 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Wauconda since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
