Wautoma had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.4 runs) and they went ahead and made it six on Friday. They blew past the Westfield Area Pioneers 9-3. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 10-3 victory two weeks ago.

The team relied heavily on Mason Dobrecevich, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI, one triple, and one stolen base. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Carson Rose, who went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

Wautoma's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-10. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.7 runs over those games. As for Westfield Area, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record this season.
