After a string of 14 wins, Creek Wood's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They were dealt a 51-23 defeat at the hands of the Jackson South Side Hawks. While losing is never fun, the Red Hawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 92nd, while the Hawks are ranked 22nd).

Jaidynn Askins continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Jackson South Side, dropping a double-double with 15 points and ten boards. Askins' afternoon made it four games in a row in which she has scored at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Aydison Dilworth, who posted eight points along with six rebounds and three steals.

Creek Wood's loss dropped their record down to 22-9. As for Jackson South Side, the victory was the 21st in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 27-2.
