It was a good run, but the Heath Bulldogs unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of Northridge by a score of 44-42. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Heath has scored all season.
Despite the loss, Heath still got an impressive performance from Jaxon Duston, who scored 19 points along with nine rebounds. Those nine rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. Preston Devito was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with three steals.
Heath's defeat dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Northridge, they pushed their record up to 7-1 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Heath will face off against Watkins Memorial at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Watkins Memorial is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games. As for Northridge, they will head out on the road to face off against Licking Heights at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
