Klein Forest has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will square off against the Tomball Memorial Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Klein Forest put the finishing touches on their eighth blowout victory of the season on Wednesday. They really took it to Waller for the full four quarters, racking up a 62-20 win at home. The win was just what Klein Forest needed coming off of a 74-39 loss in their prior contest.
Meanwhile, in a tight matchup that could have gone either way, Tomball Memorial made off with a 33-32 win over Klein Cain. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Tomball Memorial.
Dasia Hyams and Skylar Kearns were among the main playmakers for Tomball Memorial as the former scored 11 points along with eight rebounds and three steals and the latter scored eight points along with two steals.
Klein Forest's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 15-10. As for Tomball Memorial, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 14-15 record this season.
Klein Forest couldn't quite finish off Tomball Memorial when the teams last played back in December of 2023 and fell 48-46. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Hyams, who scored 20 points along with seven rebounds and two blocks.
