Kimberly has gone 7-2 against Teton recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The Bulldogs will be playing in front of their home fans against the Redskins at 10:00 a.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Kimberly came out on top against Wood River on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run first inning. The Bulldogs walked away with a 7-2 win over the Wolverines. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Wolverines recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.
Tayden Stringham spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on four hits.
At the plate, MaCraye Bruning was incredible, firing off two home runs, three runs, and three RBI while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2025. Another player making a difference was Cash Gardner, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.
Kimberly always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .515. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
While Teton didn't have the best season last year (they finished 2-16), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They came out on top against Buhl by a score of 13-9 on Friday. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since April 2, 2021, but that streak is no more.
Luke Nelson and Wyatt Moore did most of the damage at the plate: Nelson went a perfect 4-for-4 with five RBI, two runs, and two doubles, while Moore went 3-for-5 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. Nelson has become a key player for Teton: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 1-2 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Remi Berry, who got on base in two of his four plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.
Teton's win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Kimberly, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.
Saturday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Kimberly has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .447. However, it's not like Teton struggles in that department as they've averaged .437. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Kimberly got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in April of 2025 against Teton by a conclusive 6-0 score. Will the Bulldogs repeat their success, or do the Redskins have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
