Having just played yesterday, the Silverdale Academy Seahawks will jump right back in to play the Chattanooga School for the Liberal Arts Eagles at 11:30 a.m. on Friday. Silverdale Academy is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling.
Silverdale Academy has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 24 points or more this season. Everything went their way against Loudon on Thursday as Silverdale Academy made off with a 70-45 win. Given Silverdale Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 23rd, while Loudon is ranked 280th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Silverdale Academy's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Brett Wright, who scored 18 points, and Kennedy Okpara, who scored 20 points. That makes it four consecutive games in which Wright has scored at least 25% of Silverdale Academy's points. Elyjah Richardson was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Meanwhile, Chattanooga School for the Liberal Arts came up short against St. Andrews-Sewanee last Wednesday and fell 44-36. Chattanooga School for the Liberal Arts has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Silverdale Academy's victory bumped their record up to 15-0. As for Chattanooga School for the Liberal Arts, their loss dropped their record down to 3-7.
Everything came up roses for Silverdale Academy against Chattanooga School for the Liberal Arts in their previous matchup back in November as the team secured a 72-37 victory. With Silverdale Academy ahead 36-15 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
